Native American creation story:
The Creator gathered all of Creation and said,
“I want to hide something from the humans until they are ready for it. It is the realization that they create their own reality.”
The eagle said, “Give it to me, I will take it to the moon.”
The Creator said, “No. One day they will go there and find it.”
The salmon said, “I will bury it on the bottom of the ocean.”
“No. They will go there too.”
The buffalo said, “I will bury it on the Great Plains.”
The Creator said, “They will cut into the skin of the Earth and find it even there.”
Grandmother Mole, who lives in the breast of Mother Earth, and who has no physical eyes but sees with spiritual eyes,
said, “Put it inside of them.”
And the Creator said, “It is done.”

-What is the definitive difference between reality and virtual reality? Exactly which things are different about the two worlds?
-And what are the side effects of virtual reality? Manipulation, unfulfillment silenced by escapism. Many others I'm sure. I mean, you can even get arrested for things you do on the internet. (Wait but how is that different from real life? Has virtual reality become the average person's reality? Is escapism inescapable?)
-Then why do it so much? Communication is thrilling, but is it even real communication?
-I mean, I guess words are words...we process the information we are given similarly in the two different worlds. But there's something rather lifeless about the internet. No shape, no texture, no temperature, no movement.
-Regardless, it is a very special tool. It can do very good things that may not have been done without it like sending information really fast to everyone all over the place at once, changing ideas, but didn't people used to do that? Or did they not relate to eachother? Is world peace coming because of the internet? Because of flickr groups, facebook status, last.fm groups, tumblr spheres of influence?
-Sometimes those are the places that give me the most faith in humanity.
-Oh, and then there's Chatroulette! of course.
-But then there's also Jersey Shores, horror movies, Lady Gaga, this bullshit ,
-But hey, at least Avatar got sponsored by McDonald's.
